Quadratic Formula
x = [-b ± √(b² - 4ac)] / 2a
Definition: This formula provides the roots or solutions of a quadratic equation. The term inside the square root, (b² - 4ac), is called the discriminant, which determines the nature of
the roots (real, complex, or repeated).
Example: Solve x² + 5x + 6 = 0. Here, a=1, b=5, c=6.
x = [-5 ± √(5² - 4*1*6)] / (2*1)
x = [-5 ± √(25 - 24)] / 2
x = [-5 ± √1] / 2
So, x = (-5 + 1) / 2 = -2 and x = (-5 - 1) / 2 = -3.
Pythagorean Theorem
Definition: The square of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle, c) is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides (a and b).
Example: If a side `a` = 8 and the hypotenuse `c` = 10, find the other side `b`.
8² + b² = 10²
64 + b² = 100
b² = 100 - 64 = 36
b = √36 = 6.
Area of a Circle
Definition: This formula calculates the area (A) of a circle based on its radius (r), which is the distance from the center to any point on the edge. π (pi) is a constant approximately equal to 3.14159.

Definition: A fundamental principle in electricity, Ohm's law states that the voltage (V) across a conductor is directly proportional to the current (I) flowing through it, where R is the constant of proportionality, known as resistance.
